The Packers have signed two new players to their team,

House played for the Green Bay Packers from 2011 to 2013 before spending time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Detroit Lions. He is returning to Green Bay because he feels that this is his best opportunity to win a Super Bowl.

“I had other opportunities, but I just felt like this was the best opportunity for me,” House said. “The only main spot I would play is corner, and I can’t find a better situation than this.”

Guion played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2008 to 2014 before spending last season with the Miami Dolphins. He spent five seasons playing in Green Bay Packers under defensive coordinator Dom Capers, who has since moved on to the Carolina Panthers.

“It was great,” Guion said of playing under Capers. “He knows how to get the most out of his players. He’s a great coach, and I learned a lot from him.”

This year, they lost some of their best players on defense and offense.

Gone on defense are defensive linemen Letroy Guion and Mike Pennel, linebackers Carl Bradford and Jayrone Elliott, cornerbacks Sam Shields and Demetri Goodson, safety Morgan Burnett and strong safety Micah Hyde.

“This was a tough cut,” coach McCarthy said. “These players have done everything we have asked them over the past three years.”

Offensively, the Packers lost wide receivers Jordy Nelson (who is out for the season with a torn ACL) and Randall Cobb, offensive linemen T.J. Lang and JC Tretter, tight end Jared Cook and running back Eddie Lacy.
